I always loved photography. When I was young I asked for a DSLR camera for every occasion. Birthdays, Christmas, going out to stores, and even Easter! Of course at such a young age I didn't know that cameras cost an arm and a leg. When I was around 11 I got my first real camera that wasn't a windup Pikachu toy. A little point and shoot red Canon from my grandparents. Little did my family know that it would turn into a passion and love for the future.

Fast-forward to 2015, about to turn 19 and going on my first overseas trip I decided to get my first real camera, Nix, (Nikon d3000) with my brand new credit card. Something I dreamed about since I was a child was finally happening. I had no idea how to use a DSLR. (I'll admit. I'm still learning a lot about DSLRs and photography in general.) I went on my first trip to Europe with my ex dutch boyfriend. We went to the Netherlands, Paris, France, and London,GB. I have to thank him for my love for travel. If it weren't for him I would have never traveled.

This trip gave me more reason to continue my love for photography. It is a rush to get a photo that comes out so perfect. For me photography shows others what I love and what life beyond the house can be. It is such an amazing way to educate people. We can read all we want about places or events, but without visual representation how are we able to truly understand? This goes for the same on videography. Which I will make in another post.

Unfortunatly, Nix needs to be fixed in order to go on trips again. Nix started taking photos that were just pink, or pink with white lines. Which ended up being common with this series. I will get him fixed one day but since then I have bought a new camera which I use for work. I have a canon t6i which I take out on photoshoots, travel, sports photography, and just at home. I have insurance this time, but we all know electronics stop working after the insurance ends. So heres to another year with my canon! Here are a few photos of my family photoshoot I did this past fall.

I'm still learning about my camera and new techniques everyday and I can't wait to see where it takes me.
